Returnable Packaging Operative

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Returnable Packaging Operative to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Wear the company uniform at all times.
  • Wear any items of personal protective equipment, (includes items within high care areas) as specified by the supervisor / manager.
  • Comply to all client policies / procedures in relation to housekeeping / infection control / security
  • Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to, as specified by the supervisor / manager
  • Ensure that all tasks are carried out in line with working specifications, as directed by the supervisor / manager
  • To report all faults in relation to equipment to the supervisor / manager.
  • To report all building defects to the supervisor / manager.
  • Inspect returned layer pads in-line with quality specifications – It is the expectation one individual will inspect 4,800 layer pads during a per 8 hour shift, turning the layer pad one at a time.
  • Securely band rejected layer pad stacks ready to be removed to designated area outside
  • Quality inspects - Pallets & Top Frames as set out in the standard operating procedures.
  • Maintaining housekeeping levels in the inside warehouse and safely removing any hazards which may occur
  • Responsible to carry out bailer room operations as set out in standard operating procedures
  • To carry out any reasonable request, as specified by the supervisor / manager

Package Description

  • It would be advantageous if the candidate holds a valid Fork Lift Truck licence, as there will be a requirement to cover the fork lift truck duties as required.
  • Core working hours will be Monday to Friday 0700 - 1600hrs with occasionally weekend work.
  • Training will be provided.
