Retail Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit a Retail Manager to manage a Londis retail outlet and a Cafe/Bar at one of our defence contracts in Shropshire.

You will supervise the day to day activities within the outlets and will be responsible for driving retail performance.

Role Responsibility

  • Efficient management of the retail department including a Londis shop and cafe/bar.
  • Manage a team of 8 to deliver a high quality customer service
  • Build valuable relationships with clients, colleagues and customers.
  • Control and monitor the financial performance of the retail unit and to maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets.
  • Drive sales and monitor stock levels
  • Improvement of service delivery and performance

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of Catering/retail at supervisor level
  • Financial awareness in managing budget
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Effective communication and customer care skills
  • Proven track record of driving sales
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of retail systems
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene, Health & Safety an advantage
