On 1 February 2015 the ownership of six Community Rehabilitation Companies transferred to Sodexo in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro, as part of the Government’s Transforming Rehabilitation (TR) programme.

Transforming Rehabilitation aims to change the way that offenders are managed in the community, building upon historic good practice while encouraging greater innovation in reducing reoffending.

As Business Development Manager, you'll deliver the strategy to grow our  newly acquired CRCs through the selling of new and existing services, both via the Rate Card and by responding to RFPs.

You will build on the business development work currently carried out during the mobilisation stage, as we expand service delivery into new and exciting areas. In this challenging role, you must be extremely adaptable to meet coinciding deadlines and show excellence in developing high quality tender submissions.

Role Responsibility

• Meet the revenue targets set by the SJS Executive Team
• Support in the sourcing of opportunities and managing the end to end process for each opportunity
• Working with key stakeholders within the CRC, responsible for writing high quality and compliant responses to tender questions
• Support the Senior Business Development Manager in collating the requirements for Sodexo’s governance process for bidding ensuring all opportunities are in line with Sodexo’s contractual requirements, negotiating with both the client and Sodexo UK & Ireland Exec team where issues arise
• Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders including but not limited to the National Probation Service, Non-Resttlement Prison Directors, partner organisations, charities, local government and authorities, commissioning and contracting authorities.
• Deliver the Sales and Marketing strategy to market the capabilities of the CRCs and supply chain

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience of working with, and winning business from public sector organisations
• Experience writing tenders for contracts from various commissioining bodies
• Ability to be fliexible and geographically mobile
• Local political knowledge of the regions responsible for
• Local knowledge of the commissioning behaviours of Local Authorities, Public Health England, European Social Fund, Police Crime Commissioners

Highly desirable (candidates demonstrating evidence of this criteria in addition to the above essential criteria will be progressed for further review)

• Working knowledge of the Transforming Rehabilitation initiative
• Experience of working in Criminal Justice Services
• Experience of winning services that deliver to vulnerable groups

Package Description

£35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

No fixed location - you will be covering the following CRCs:-

Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (BeNCH)

Norfolk & Suffolk

Essex
