Due to internal promotions we are currently recruiting for various HR vacancies within our shared service centre in Salford.

Our shared service centre known as PeopleCentre opened in 2013 and offers customer support to employees and managers via telephone and email. As an assistant within the PeopleCentre team you will ensure all requests are recorded accurately and handled professionally and efficiently.

Working within the Resourcing Team you will provide a responsive and efficient customer focussed resourcing helpdesk query handling service to the business, working within agreed HR service centre timescales.

Shift patterns

7.45am - 4.15pm and 9.45am - 6.15pm. These are alternated weekly.

Part time opportunities are also available working 8.5 hours a day over 3 or 4 days.

The PeopleCentre often have themed fun/charity days to promote team building and Corporate Social Responsibility and the Social Committee love to arrange social events such as the ‘Great Manchester Run’. Most recently the PeopleCentre has been shortlisted for the HR team of the year award by the CIPD.

PLEASE NOTE:  Assessment centres will be held on the 9th July 5-8pm and 10th July 9am – 12pm. You must be available on one of these days.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide a helpful and customer friendly service to all HR Service Centre customers regarding recruitment, resolving queries first time where possible.
  • Provide resourcing support to internal customers on recruitment process and career centre system queries.
  • Log all calls on the HR Service Centre CSM system, internal and external ensuring all relevant data is captured to improve customer experience.
  • Support Resourcing Partners with CV screening, telephone interviews, arranging face to face interviews and providing feedback.
  • Manage volume recruitment campaigns.
  • Produce offer and contractual paperwork.
  • Work closely with the HR services team to ensure seamless transfer of documentation and associated requests.
  • Ensure all hard and soft copy records are maintained and secure, complying with obligations under the Data Protection Act and segment specific requirements.

  • Committed to providing a helpful, friendly, responsive service with a focus on the customer
  • Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadline and good attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Accurate keyboard and data entry skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Proficient IT skills including MS packages
  • Previous recruitment experience or an enthusiasm to move into that area.

Package Description

£17,000 - £18,000 dependant on experience
