Part Time HR Advisor (Fixed Term)

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit a temporary part time HR Advisor to support, advise and work directly with the Operations Team and the Head of HR in Cork, to drive business growth and profitability through employee productivity and satisfaction within our corporate contract.

You will drive effective Employee Relations strategies within the contract sites, which support the Corporate Services HR Strategy. You will develop strong client relationships and ensure effective communication between senior managers and stakeholders onsite.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage employee relations issues to their successful conclusion including communication with all the relevant parties
  • Build effective working relationships with the relevant trade unions involved on the contract
  • Develop the employee relations skills of the Operations Team by acting as a coach/mentor to them
  • Provide disciplinary, grievance, absence and policy/procedure advice; referring to Head of HR when appropriate
  • Conduct various relationship building workshops with employees to improve employee relations on site
  • Support the Operations Team in driving HR processes to ensure optimum performance of the units
  • Promote and support local recognition schemes
  • Report statistics and relevant commentary to the Head of HR.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous advisory experience
  • Working knowledge of current employment legislation and its application in the workplace in Ireland
  • CIPD or studying towards this qualification
  • Have a focus on continuous improvement
  • Experience of dealing with Trade Unions
  • Technical expertise in employee relations
  • People focussed, with excellent interpersonal, influencing and presenting skills.

Package Description

Requirement 2 days per week - flexible meet to business demands.

Driving license required - this role requires a degree of travel from site to site.
