Operations Manager (R&D)

Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations professional for our AstraZeneca contract. We require a team focused manager who is able to lead and develop and has experience of working in a pressurized FM environment. This role would suit an applicant who has managed both hard and soft service delivery with a corporate site.

Role Responsibility

As Operations Manager you will be accountable for delivering an ethos that promotes IFM with value focused on the customer and service to support AZ scientific success. You will Implement the site asset management strategy and delivery of asset maintenance and ensure effective asset lifecycle management for buildings, facilities and equipment at both sites. As Operations manager you will lead a local team in the service delivery of both technical and soft services. You will comply with all Sodexo & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH and manage the achievement of agreed Sodexo budgets to include profitability, debt management, purchasing disciplines and other specified financial targets. You must maintain strong relationships with the customer and attend regular contract meetings.

The Ideal Candidate

  • IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely
  • High level of practical knowledge of relevant employment, hygiene, Health and Safety and general legislative requirements
  • Experienced at a  professional level with a proven track record of managing facilities management services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all levels within the Sodexho and client
  • Ability to grasp requirements effectively and to relate to the service provisions of the Contract
  • Strong contract management skills
  • Proven experience of managing employees within a service environment and maximising the performance of their team
  • Ability to be an effective team player within the overall contract Management Team
  • Computer literate
  • Numerate and Literate with developed communication skills
