Occupational Hygienist

Job Introduction

Sodexo are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Hygienist to be based from client site in Cheshire. The Occupational Hygienist will primarily support the delivery and development of LEV thorough examination and testing across Sodexo in the UK. Work with the Head of Health, Safety & Risk in providing additional support/ monitoring across other disciplines as required across the UK&I business. This position is initially based in Cheshire but travel throughout the UK is expected as the role and service develops. Role Responsibility

  • Develop and improve consistent processes and procedures for delivery of LEV Thorough Examination and Testing
  • Carry out thorough examination and testing of high risk LEV systems, predominantly in Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
  • Review and approve TE&T test reports
  • Coach and develop site based LEV testing staff.
  • Mentoring of identified staff through Occupational Hygiene training and qualifications
  • Auditing of subcontracted LEV and occupation hygiene services.
  • Develop general occupational hygiene services across the Sodexo UK&I business
  • Advise the business on appropriate monitoring / actions in reactive issues

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene minimum
  • Practical experience of working in wide range of facilities including health care; pharmaceuticals, laboratories and manufacturing sites.
  • The candidate should have a good background in auditing.
  • Reporting: Ability to write persuasive and effective reports and communications, which clearly define findings and their causes, and recommendations made.
  • Analytical Skills: Must possess strong analytical skills. The ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyze information, identify implications of data, draw appropriate conclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problem, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative.
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) are required
  • Driving Licence
