Mess Manager (Hospitality & Hotel Services)

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Mess (Hospitality/Hotel) Manager to oversee Mess operation for one of our defence contracts.

Role Responsibility

Efficient management of the Mess including daily catering, functions (hospitality) and accommodation services for military mess members.
Ensuring that we deliver high quality food service to all mess members and customers
Managing the team to ensure a smooth and efficient service delivery.
Control and monitor the financial performance of the unit and to maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets.
Ensure all food is prepared to a high standard as per service level agreement, Company policy and current legislation.
Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation.
Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within catering, hospitality or hotel management.
Good financial awareness
Excellent communication skills and ability to build good relationships with clients
Experience of managing a team within a catering environment
Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
City & Guilds 1 & 2 Catering or NVQ equivalent
