Management Trainee
Job Introduction
We are currently looking to recruit a Management Trainee to assist the General Services Manager and the Deputy Manager in running the services on site at one of our prestigious schools in Surrey.
This is a functional management role which requires you to fulfil key tasks and achieve standards through communication and persuasion. If you have the willingness to learn, this is a fantastic step into Management.
Role Responsibility
- Help with the Health & safety and Food safety of the unit in all departments
- Assist in the planning and execution of functions both internal and external, completing pre and post costing and feedback from the organiser
- Assist the General Services Manager and Deputy services manager in their daily tasks
- Walk the customer journey every day, ensure that the menus are accurate and spelt correctly and ensure the allergen information is accurate
- Monitor pupil feeding whilst on duty, reporting issues
- Devising a weekly huddle for other departmental managers to use as a template
- Monitor prices within the tuck shop and café, ensuring profitability and compliance with Health and Safety and cash handling
- Monitor the setting up of functions , deliverance of the function and the clear down from the function.
The Ideal Candidate
- A level in English and Maths
- Good understanding of basic food hygiene
- Previous experience in catering
- Computer literate
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn with a flexible approach to the role.
