Lounge Steward

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a dedicated and hardworking Lounge Steward, ro deliver hospitality and look after a Business Lounge.

Role Responsibility

Providing a 5* business concierge service to the staff of Zurich London. The upkeep and maintenance of the Business Lounge. To offer a personalised service to the Zurich staff and their visitors should they require meeting room, AV or any other support within the Business Lounge. Working with the catering, hospitality and reception services to ensure all customer interactions are completed to expected standards. The cover of the main receptions, Executive Steward and catering unit as required.

  • To assist as required with all aspects of service preparation and presentation to company standard
  • Provide and efficient and friendly service to customers, serve customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure counters, service and eating areas are stocked, well presented and tidy at all times
  • Ensure all areas in Sodexo control are clean and hygienic at all times, carry out cleaning duties as per cleaning schedules or as directed
  • Meeting room upkeep, set ups, support and regular checks and removal of hospitality.
  • Ensuring the Business Lounge and meeting room environments are clean, tidy and present an “unused” feel when entered by the customer.
  • Support and cover of the Reception and Catering teams, as well as the Executive Steward if required and associated all associated duties.
  • Preparation, delivery and set up of hospitality in and around the Business Lounge, VMS and any other function area.
  • Full understanding of the scope of the wider FM provision.
  • Deliver a consistent high level of customer service to all building users.
  • Dealing direct with facility users and resolving any issues efficiently.
  • Assisting and being part of the efficient operation of an IFM team by providing internal cover in other departments, taking initiative in colleagues absence from work area and covering when required
  • Observe H&S guidelines at all times, ensuring use of safety signs and barriers
  • Comply with all Company and Client policies and procedures, statutory regulations relating to your work place, this will include but not limited to fire; health and safety; hygiene; working safely; CoSHH. Ensure the safety and security of company and client property
  • Assist in responsibility of ensuring counters, service and eating areas are stocked, well presented and tidy at all times
  • Be a party to a flexible working culture between areas and departments, taking initiative in colleagues absence from work area and covering where required
  • Assist events on site some of which maybe out of hours and/or out of contract site
  • Ensure all areas in Sodexo control are clean and hygienic at all times, carry out cleaning duties as per cleaning schedules or as directed
  • Assist in stock control, reducing waste and driving sales
  • Operate till and check floats as directed
  • Ensure the safety and security of company and client property and money
  • Complete all records as directed accurately and in timely manner
  • Report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities to line manager, taking appropriate action where possible
  • Report all complaints and compliments to line manager, taking action where practicable

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

Essential

  • Experience of working in multi tasking environment
  • Able to communicate on all levels, excellent customer care skills
  • Presentable and personable
  • Knowledge of H&S

 

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a similar service environment via a multi-skilled workforce to blue chip organisations or within prestige environments with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Relevant training, qualifications and experience to deliver services in line with legislative and statutory requirements (where relevant) and industry best practice.
