Head Chef
Job Introduction
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer focused Lounge Head Chef to be responsible for the planning and presentation of all food and beverage at our Malaysia Golden Lounge at Heathrow Airport.
This role will suit an individual who has good time management and organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure. If you have excellent craft skills/qualifications and experience of managing in a kitchen environment this is a fantastic opportunity for you.
Role Responsibility
- Plan, supervise, deliver and present the food and beverages as per the Golden Lounge. Supervise, guide and coach the assigned staff to ensure an efficient operation of the Golden Lounge
- Interact with customers by explaining the food and beverages on offer
- Gauge needs and make recommendations to meet the exact needs of the Gulf premium customers
- Liaise with the client on a daily basis, place orders, take stock and oversee the running of the whole Lounge in the absence of Lounge Manager
- Ensure that all customers are afforded a highest quality of service through continuous improvement to product and services.
The Ideal Candidate
- Trained Chef with proven kitchen experience
- Highly motivated with great attention to detail
- Able to work on own initiative within a team environment
- Experience in managing people
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
- Flexible approach to the role
Desirable
- Previous Lounge experience
- Experience in Malaysia, Singaporean and Indonesian cuisine.
Package Description
Shift pattern is 5 out of 7 days including weekends.
