Lead Engineer (Engineering Supervisor)

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a hands on and people focused technical professional to join a well-established team in Maidenhead.

Role Responsibility

To manage the site based engineer, handyperson, sub-contractors and any other specialist visiting engineers at the client’s premises as may be required, in such a way so as to achieve the highest level of service to the buildings occupants in the most cost efficient, technically competent and safe manner.

You will be accountable for supervising maintenance and repair duties expected of all Sodexo and Technical Services staff, under minimum supervision.

It will be your responsibility to manage and coordinate all day to day activities of labour, materials and sub-contractors, in compliance with company policies and procedures, health and safety, quality and environmental responsibilities, and with a pro-active approach to service delivery and problem solving.

The Ideal Candidate

  • City and Guilds Mechanical/Electrical
  • Demonstrable people management skills
  • May have served an apprenticeship or follow a recognised formal training programme
  • Should be knowledgeable in administration and planned maintenance systems.
  • Have minimum basic computer skills in Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint
  • Conversant with relevant legislation and compliance issues

Package Description

Up to £30,000

Mainly working Mon - Fri however occasional weekend work may be required to oversee projects. You may also be required to be on call.
