INSTRUMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST(Trainee)
The Instrument Support Specialist(trainee) is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or time served analyst wishing a change in their career. This is a permanent, full time, day shift role based at a leading Pharmaceutical site in Ulverston, Cumbria. This is a ‘hands on’ role providing maintenance support to the analysts by maintaining and qualifying chromatography instrumentation namely HPLC and GC. The right candidate will have an interest in fault finding/engineering and Science disciplines to provide them with a unique skill set which would be an alternative to a standard analyst role.
Desirable Qualifications:
Degree in Science (preferably Chemistry)
Role Responsibility
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance(PPM) on HPLC and GC systems in accordance with sites scheduling windows.
- Responding to reactive maintenance(RM) and repairing in a timely manner
- Performing Qualification(PQ) testing and recording results via the computer data system in accordance with sites current operating procedures
- Managing and coordinating 3rd party service providers for laboratory equipment out with self-delivery scope, ensuring adherence to sites scheduling.
The Ideal Candidate
Additional Skills and Experience:
- Good communication and customer focussed skills
- Good knowledge of excel and IT literate
- Understanding of GxP practices
- Experience of HPLC and GC advantageous but not essential.
- Full driving license required
