Hospitality Chef

Job Introduction

Sodexo Corporate Services are recruiting a Hospitality Chef for our client’s prestigious site in London, NW1.

As Hospitality Chef, you will be joining an winning team where you will drive efficient preparation and service of all meals including extensive Hospitality and Fine Dining. Also supporting the Executive Head chef throughout the contract.

You will have passion for food and be able to demonstrate innovation in our food service offers. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop yourself within the role as you will have exposure to high profile events and chefs in the business. 

 

 

Role Responsibility

Main Responsibilities

  • Delivery of a consistent level of service, within the Company's standards, to the contract specification, service offer and agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets.
  • Compliance to company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health & safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
  • Continual innovation is demonstrated with regards to menu and offer development.
  • Opportunities for business growth both within the contract and the external market are actively sought.
  • Assistance is given in new business contract set up, mobilisation and food offer development. 
  • Training and development of the team is given a focus for performance, engagement and retention

The Ideal Candidate

Ideal Person

  • Ability to achieve and set standards and to work to budget
  • Training and development of the team is given a focus for performance, engagement and retention
  • Deliver a Fine dining and Hospitality food offer on trend with the high street counterparts.
  • Oversee regular promotions & food concepts/ innovations
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Advanced managing food safety certification)
  • Chef qualification, or equivalent
  • Industry acumen and knowledge of catering developments & innovations
  • Previous Head Chef experience running both a hospitality offer including fine dining, events and staff dining restaurant
  • Menu Planning
  • Recipe online adherence & planning
