Healthcare Assistant
Job Introduction
HMP Forest Bank are currently recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant, reporting to the Primary Care Manager, you will assist individuals with health and social care needs in order for them to have a dignified and decent life whilst in Prison and obtain optimum functioning.

Sodexo Justice Services delivers custodial and community rehabilitation services that challenge offending behaviour, protect the public and offer individuals the opportunity to change their lives for the better. We deliver the total operation of five prisons within England, Scotland and Wales and own six Community Rehabilitation Companies in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro.
Role Responsibility
- Help patients to wash, shower, dress and use the toilet
- Ensure patients get food and fluids
- Arrange therapeutic activities
- Assist to mobilise if they have difficulties
- Make sure their accommodation is clean and decent
- Assist to attend appointments ( internal and external )
- Take and record observations e.g. weight, temperature, BP etc.
- Make entries on recognised IT system
- Assist Nurses with more complex care as directed
- When one to one care is not required you will work with the healthcare teams general duties

- Proven experience within a care / healthcare setting
- Customer focused with a caring attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrates willingness to take instruction
Highly desirable
- NVQ level 2 health + social care
- Experience in a custodial environment
Package Description
£19,797.18 plus benefits including pension, free onduty meals, free onsite parking, group discount scheme etc
