Health, Safety & Risk Manager

Job Introduction

Sodexo are currently recruiting for an experienced Health Safety & Risk Manager. You will be required to travel to client sites throughout London with occasional UK travel.  You will provide safety, health, environment risk and quality support to Sodexo operations and in accordance with company procedures and agreed objectives.  You will liaise and work with the Account Managers and the client to achieve compliance across all CPIs / KPIs / and other contract deliverables. Role Responsibility

  • Assist with the implementation of Health, Safety and Quality systems on the contract.
  • Implement, monitor and review health and safety policy and action plans ensure CS UK&I Segment complies with best practice and legislative requirements.
  • Promote and develop a Safety Culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities throughout the Sodexo operational delivery.
  • Undertake environmental, health and safety planning, including the setting of goals, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management.
  • Assist sites with the preparation of risk registers.
  • Management of site Action Plans following Red audits and RIDDOR accidents / incidents.
  • Provide a high level of operational service support to management and operational staff, establishing specific requirements, identifying and facilitating the resolution of all specific issues to provide a high level of support and add value to operations.
  • Ensure consistent application and communication of Sodexo H&S and Environmental policies, procedures, practices and initiatives, while referring to site senior management.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • National H&S qualification (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)
  • Detailed knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation
  • Good organisational /communication skills. Produce concise information
  • Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, both prescribed and self-imposed
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels
  • Self motivated and able to motivate others
  • Driving licence and flexible to travel

Desirable

  • Experience of implementing Health & Safety and Quality Systems
