Job Introduction
Based at a leading pharmaceutical company, this is an exceptional opportunity within our corporate services segment for a highly experienced Scientific Operational specialist. This role will allow you to deliver exceptional scientific operational services, support the UK and regional Scientific services strategy and build long term client relationships.
This is a great opportunity for somebody to deliver the scientific services portfolio within the UK and support growth.
This role requires a full driving license due to national travel.
Role Responsibility
- Support the quality and integrity of scientific service quality whilst being fully compliant with Client and scientific processes.
- Influence multiple client stakeholders to provide the opportunities for growth of scientific services
- Deliver full laboratory services on sites in the region while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Accountable for; Technical Lab Services, In Laboratory support activities, Pilot plant support, Media and Reagent Preparation, Technical Stewarding, Glass ware cleaning, gas services, managing chemical inventories and stockrooms.
- Responsible for developing a working knowledge and understanding of the (sciences) as they relate to the services offered.
- Support the growth programme of scientific services within the overall contract
The Ideal Candidate
- Scientific degree essential/further education qualified
- Considerable technical experience in scientific service delivery and/or design.
- Considerable leadership experience
- Knowledge of a range of scientific services including Lab Services, D&L, LIS, TLS etc
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and resources.
- Strong stakeholder management as this role requires significant influence
- Experience of procurement/contract negotiation (desirable not essential)
