Head of Sales

Job Introduction

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales will manage all aspects of revenue and lead generation for Prestige Nursing and Elite Care Ltd (Sodexo Personal and Home Services UK).

A core element of the role is to provide technical guidance and direction on sales and business development to Business Managers, Branch Managers and branch teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of business development and marketing either in the healthcare sector or in a service based people orientated business, as well as experience managing a team and being accountable for meeting defined targets whilst ensuring full compliance with quality and legislative standards.

The post will suit a commercially astute individual capable of meeting and exceeding agreed revenue targets whilst balancing the needs of the care sector.   

Role Responsibility

  • Grow revenue and gross profit in line with the business plan
  • Lead regional business development teams and  support Hub Business Managers and Branch Managers
  • Identify and exploit new business opportunities in line with the company’s strategy
  • Implement a Business Development system in support of these goals, and ensure usage throughout the branch network
  • Develop and work on retention strategies for clients
  • Work with the Operations Director to ensure NPS  scores hit agreed levels
  • Refine value proposition and ensure awareness levels high in key market segments
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure current products and services are refreshed and new products introduced
  • Produce a sales plan to meet the revenue and profit goals for the current and next financial year
  • Build and manage a high performing field business development team
  • Provide accurate revenue forecasts to the senior management team
  • Evaluate and improve all sales and sales administration processes  
  • Carry out competitor analysis, report on sales metrics, opportunities, and threats
  • Implement improvements to increase value of the service offering  
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in the CRM system
  • Provide weekly reporting
  • Develop and implement sales training and development programs for all sales staff

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record of business development and marketing within the service sector
  • Articulate and credible, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ideally a graduate with a relevant degree
  • Immaculate appearance and 100% professional at all times
  • Knowledge of the healthcare market would be advantageous
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively
  • Ability to work on own initiative, self-starter, able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM Systems
  • Enthusiastic, results-orientated, with consistent delivery against agreed targets
  • Excellent communications skills, face to face and written
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent organisational/ administration skills
  • Passionate about the business and delivering high levels of service
  • Proactive and innovative approach

Package Description

£60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
