Head Chef

Job Introduction
We are looking to recruit an innovative Head Chef to manage the catering operation for a high profile corporate client. This is a ‘hands on’ role and will require a passionate and customer focussed individual to lead the team and build strong client relationships.
Role Responsibility
- Management of a corporate feeding operation which includes a restaurant, coffee ships and retail outlet, providing services for up to 2,500 employees on site.
- Lead a hospitality operation which includes working lunches and bespoke events
- Engineer food innovation and development of services, ensuring that we provide a commercial and first class customer experience.
- Manage, motivate and develop the team providing training and coaching as necessary.
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh and to a high standard as per service level agreement, Company policy and current legislation.
- Manage all aspects of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
- Ensure financial documentation and accountancy of the unit (and those from suppliers) is accurate and within agreed budgeted levels.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a corporate environment
- Excellent craft skills and experience of managing a brigade
- Good communication skills and customer focussed
- Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments and innovations
- Good financial awareness
- Personal innovation and passion
- Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
