Head Chef
Job Introduction
We currently have an opportunity for a creative and talented Head Chef to lead the brigade at a prestgious activity, traning and conference centre. If you are motivated and passionate about current trends and top quality food, this is a great opportunity to showcase your innovative menu ideas and effectively lead a brigade of Chefs to deliver an outstanding service.
Role Responsibility
- Manage the preparation and presentation of a high quality food production operation, catering for customers and VIP visitors
- Deliver outstanding hospitality for a conferencing and banqueting operation including weddings and parties
- Lead and develop a brigade of Chefs and casual staff, providing training and coaching as necessary.
- Manage all aspects of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene.
- Ensure financial documentation and accountancy of the unit (and those from suppliers) is accurate and within agreed budgeted levels.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a similar role, an events, conferening/banqueting background an advantage
- Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments and trends
- Excellent craft skills/qualifications and experience of managing in a kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Personal motivation and passion
