Head Chef (Hospitality)

Job Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to demonstrate innovation with food in a hospitality focused role.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Hospitality Head Chef to ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals at our prestigious corporate site in Central London.

 

 

Role Responsibility

•Lead the team to ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals and breaks at the required time, being provided to the standard of the food service offer

•Ensure that the Company's accountancy, documentation and administration procedures are carried out

•Ensure that all costs and expenditure are within the budgeted levels.  Control all costs such as labour, expenses, cash purchases as agreed with your line manager

•Ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers’ special dietary requirements: for example, nut, dairy or wheat allergies

•Monitor waste, ensuring that it is kept to a minimum and action plans are put in place as necessary

•Comply with all Company & client policies, procedures and statutory regulations including Human Resources, site rules, Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH

•Manage the ordering process for the site.

•Ensure that the Company’s standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained in all areas in conjunction with the cleaning schedules.

The Ideal Candidate

•Excellent Food Services experience

•Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role, combined with a high level of culinary skill and fine dining experience

•Excellent leadership skills and experience of supervising a large, complex catering operation, ideally within a prestigious catering function

•Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments and innovations

•Good communication skills with the proven ability to communicate at all levels

•Good financial and commercial awareness

•Personal innovation and passion for quality of food

•Experience of working in a standards/compliance environment

•Knowledge and experience of designing and implementing e-learning strategies

•Experience of working successfully with accrediting and regulatory bodies and implementing associated programmes.
