Job Introduction

HMP Forest Bank are currently recruiting for a HR Assistant, you will take responsibility for the provision of location-based administrative support activities and support the Human Resources Business Partner.

Sodexo Justice Services delivers custodial and community rehabilitation services that challenge offending behaviour, protect the public and offer individuals the opportunity to change their lives for the better. We deliver the total operation of five prisons within England, Scotland and Wales and own six Community Rehabilitation Companies in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible for all administration across the full life-cycle including recruitment, absence management, employee relations etc
  • Working closely with the People Centre (HR Shared Services) ensuring all processes are adhered to and required documentation completed and shared
  • Acting as the main site VCP (Vetting Contact Point) responsible for meeting with applicants, checking the security clearance forms have been correctly completed and that identification documents are thoroughly verified, copied and endorsed.
  • Acting as Identity Checker for the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) forms and key contact for any queries or questions on either the DBS or the Security Clearance Forms.
  • Providing administrative support as directed by the HR Business Partner for site based Learning and Development activities and employee events.
  • Supporting the L&D Manager with the upload of Training data onto SAP
  • Attending meetings and taking minutes
  • The HR Assistant will need to liaise closely with the People Centre, in a timely fashion, to provide information on issues that arise from the results of either of these processes, where the applicant is a potential new employee.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven HR experience
  • Extensive administration experience and skill set
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Able to act in a discretionary and confidential manner
  • Able to work under pressure and in a timely manner
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with effective time management

Desirable

  • Previous experience of SAP
  • Experience of working in a similar environment

Package Description
