Our UK Energy & Resources segment is looking for an HR Advisor to join their Aberdeen office in City Centre.  As a key partner to the business, you manage a portfolio of sites and clients; work hand in hand with HR business partners and Ops support to provide advice and support to the Operations Team with all people management matters (mobilizations, talent development, performance management, collective agreement, TUPE transfers etc…)

Role Responsibility

  • Support Operations: In charge of a portfolio of clients, you provide advice and guidance on collective agreements, policies and significant workplace changes; you support managers with performance management issues, such as absence management, discipline, grievances and disputes, harassment, maternity, performance, redundancy management;

 

  • Client Interaction: you visit your portfolio of sites and meet with teams, serving as a liaison to listen to issues on site and deliver corporate messages; You participate in Client quarterly meetings, producing and presenting relevant HR data.

 

  • Staffing: You work with Recruitment to fill in open positions. You coordinate mobilizations and TUPE transfers, interacting with teams and clients to ensure seamless transitions. You monitor the issuing of employment contracts for your portfolio of sites; including subsequent alterations.

 

  • People Development: You follow up on annual performance reviews and training needs. You support the growth of our site teams by preparing succession plans and identifying employees with potential. You actively coach and mentor our HR Operational Support team members and assist in the development & delivery of Human Resource/People Management related training.

 

The Ideal Candidate

You are CIPD certified and have a minimum of 7 years of experience in relevant HR positions. You have worked in service industries or the Oil and Gas industry where you had to manage employment relations matters. You have a practical & contemporary employment law understanding.

 

With excellent oral, written and presentation skills, you confidently engage with both site teams and management. You stay calm under pressure, listen, negotiate and influence. You develop trust with your site teams, enjoy solving problems, coaching others and acting as a partner to the business. You are a team player able to work on own initiative and develop proactive solutions to people management issues, within appropriate guidelines.
