Grounds Maintenance Operative

As Maintenance Operative, you will maintain the prison estate, facilities and systems.
You'll fulfill the conditions for cell certification and carry out effective maintenance and repairs that contribute to a safe, reliable and efficient maintenance regime of the prison estate, facilities and systems. You will also assist in the Contractual Compliance of Schedule C and statutory regulations.
Role Responsibility
- Provide the requirements of the maintenance function for the prison as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Comply with the National Security Framework, with particular emphasis on arrears of security of tools, equipment, locks, keys and resources
- Compile accurate and appropriate job sheets after completion of task or assignment
- Be available on a rota basis for emergency call outs or system failures.
The Ideal Candidate
- NVQ or equivalent, ideally in engineering and/ore facilities management
- Proven exerience in a similar role

- Proven experience in a custodial environmnet
