General Manager

Job Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity to really enhance your operational management career, overseeing the delivery of Sodexo’s on site soft services at a prestigious University. As the General Manager you will cover two sites and will have full accountability for developing and retaining an innovative food offering.

Role Responsibility

 

  • To ensure the onsite catering services offered by Sodexo meets and continues to meet the client needs
  • Management of the catering management team
  • Ensure a creative and innovative food offering is maintained
  • To deliver terms and conditions of the contract by visiting every contract regularly and ‘experiencing’ all aspects of the Company’s service provision
  • Manage the full P and L account for the contract,
  • Fostering long term profitable relationships and negotiating client contracts to increase new business opportunities by delivering operational excellence
  • Provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values
  • Motivate and lead a high performing team to achieve their objectives and the Sodexo strategy
  • Operational management of Sodexo’s accounts ensuring that the Client receives services of the highest quality.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Track record of success in a similar role in a multi-site (3rd party) business, overseeing the delivery of out-sourced catering services
  • Ability to lead, motivate and inspire team members on a multi-site basis with a proven track record in managing multi service operations and experience in multiple site management
  • Proven experienced of developing profitable relationships for multi site contracts
  • Experienced in leading company initiatives and change management processes
  • Experience in identifying and selling new business
  • Strong communication and negotiation skill
  • Excellent client relationship management
  • Proven ability to organise, administrate and to manage a detailed budget with a clear financial focus will be required
