Food Service Assistant

Role Responsibility

Job Purpose

• To deliver Service Excellence and Customer Care to your customers and clients.
• To complete all training as directed by your line manager.
• Continually monitor standards and practices ensuring they are maintained at the highest level

Accountabilities or “what you have to do”

• To complete work/cleaning schedules ensuring efficiency is maximised.
• To ensure the correct use, storage and control of machinery, equipment, cleaning materials and chemicals, following safe methods of work at all times in line with company policy and procedure.  Communicate order requirements to the line manager.
• To complete minor food preparation tasks as instructed and where necessary, assist with food service.
• To immediately report any equipment/building defects to your line manager.
• To clear tables, prepare condiments and recover the crockery, cutlery and glassware to the plate wash area.
• To be in attendance at front of house (as scheduled) at all meals to provide smooth service and good customer service and relations.
• To support all departments of the unit to ensure a high standards are delivered within correct timeframes.
• Adhere to the uniform and personal hygiene policy as detailed within Company Induction pack.
• Comply with to all cash, keys, stock, premise, security policy and procedure; report any deficiencies as identified immediately to your line manager.
• To provide a first point of contact to our customers and deal politely, professionally and
• efficiently with any queries and complaints, informing the Front of House Team Leader at the first opportunity.
• To ensure all food service areas are cleaned down directly after service and all preparation for the following service is completed.
• To expedite a quick, trouble free passage through the customer journey, assisting where needed.
• To ensure all pricing is displayed and correct, and to identify areas of savings, sales and increased profitability.
• To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act, Food Safety Act and COSHH regulations and company policies and procedures.
• To adhere to clock in/out procedure.
• To continue to develop one’s own skills and knowledge within the position.
• To carry out any reasonable request of a member of the management team.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

• Experience in a food service environment
• Good customer service skills
• Good communication skills – written and verbal
• The ability to demonstrate great team work

Package Description

This is an amazing opportunity for a friendly and fun character to join our team. Not only is the rate of pay higher than most high-street companies’ offer, but the working conditions are great too.

We are quiet when the high-street is busy so you won’t work every weekend or late at night. Generally our Food Service Assistants work 5 days a week between 06:00 and 22:00 and we are more than happy for you to have time off during school holidays.
