Financial Accountant

Job Introduction

Act as financial analytical support for the Account Manager on client sites. Supporting the Account Managers and Sodexo team in providing concise insightful analysis of figures to inform and influence decision making.

Job introduction

  • Take a role in implementing key project initiatives within the contract of a large new client.
  • Compile account reports within the time frames. .
  • Provide insightful analysis of agreed KPI’s and work closely with the finance and operations teams to help ensure we have good processes and tools for managing these costs in the units.  Where directed, work unit operational managers to ensure that the benefits are real and delivered.
  • Compile financial models to support the team.
  • Supporting the Account Manager in developing a robust forecasting process, identifying issues and opportunities.  Help to manage the annual budget process for the contract.

Role Responsibility

Responsibility for the financial compilation of all reports for the client business, including:

  • Preparation of the monthly accounts
  • Ensuring timely responses to month ends.
  • Ensure financial information is correctly presented in the group model/format
  • International Large Accounts reporting requirements
  • Supporting the business in developing a robust forecasting process, identifying issues and opportunities and ensuring that the plans are in place to address them, helping manage the annual budget process for the contracted clients business.
  • Support wider business from time to time on certain projects.

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

  • Qualified accountant or qualified technician.
  • Industry experience essential
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Substantial analytical skills able to understand complex performance issues and advise, and able to prioritise action plans to resolve.
    • Ability to think clearly under pressure in order to work effectively when pressure is increasing.
    • A flexible approach to accommodate the peaks and troughs of the cycles.
    • SAP knowledge a distinct advantage.
    • Knowledge of the service business an advantage.
