Facilities Technician

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Facilities Technician to join our team.  This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Working as part of a team to provide planned and reactive maintenance services for the site
  • Keep appropriate records and up-date PPM plans
  • Deal with resident enquiries
  • Handle post and parcel collections
  • To follow arrival and departure procedures
  • Face to face contact with students and members of the public
  • Attend any necessary training courses

  • The ability to be proactive and identify any areas of improvement and bring these to the attention of line manager

Package Description

Support the accommodation team in the provision of maintenance services to the property. Undertake repairs and tasks competently, within the skils and boundaries set by the Manager.  Perform routine compliance testing within the facility on a weekly basis to ensure key safety equipment is in good working order.  Recognise the need for confidentiality and respect residents and own belongings while working within the property. Oversee the work of contracted staff while on site.  Maintain roads/paths and hard finsishes ensuring they are clean and free from rubbish etc.  Remove rubbish to designated areas.  Maintain waste collection points. Work in a safe manner using PPE.  Attend fire alarms, call for assistance from emergency services when required. Record meter readings when requested.
