Facilities Manager - Soft Services

Job Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity to further your facilities management career. We require an experienced Soft Services Manager to oversee the delivery of catering, cleaning, grounds maintenance and caretaking services for our Merton Schools PFI contract. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your FM knowledge and develop within a growing IFM business.

Role Responsibility

  • Act as the interface between the client and Contract Director, ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of soft services on site.
  • Oversee the day to day management of the soft services on site, including those sub contracted
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 to deliver a high quality service
  • Deliver operational excellence across all Sodexo services
  • Control and monitor the financial performance of the unit and to maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets.
  • Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation.
  • Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable multi FM soft service experience – Catering, cleaning, grounds maintenance
  • Experience of leading a team in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Customer-facing attitude and excellent team building and people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the mental agility to ‘think on feet’ and provide convincing practical solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Broad commercial experience and business acumen and knowledge of external industry developments
  • Experienced in implementing company initiatives and
