Executive Head Chef

Job Introduction

This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your culinary career as a Chef. We are currently looking to recruit a talented Executive Head Chef to oversee the hotel catering and hospitality operation for a prestigious client, situated in a stunning location with excellent facilities.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead the delivery and production of food, including a daily catering operation, dinners, events, conferences and fine dining.
  • Deliver a high quality hospitality offering which includes prestigious functions and dinners, producing an innovative fine dining offering.
  • Accountable for 1.4M food sales
  • Oversee the management of a talented team, providing coaching, development and training when required.
  • The engineering of menus and food innovation for the hotel, ensuring that we deliver a fresh and high quality offering
  • Ensure that we deliver food and service that is of a high standard and meets company and client expectation in accordance with current legislation
  • Manage all aspects of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
  • Ensure financial documentation and accountancy of the unit (and those from suppliers) is accurate and within agreed budgeted levels

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in an Executive Head Chef role, teamed with a high level of culinary skill and fine dining experience
  • Excellent managerial skills and experience of managing a large catering operation, ideally within a hotel or conferencing centre environment
  • Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments and innovations
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Good financial awareness
  • Personal innovation and passion for quality food
  • Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
