Deputy Operations Manager (Events)

Job Introduction

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on senior manager to join an expanding, fast paced event catering company working at one of our flagship five star venues. As Duty Operations Manager you will report directly to the General Manager and you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of events predominately at Dundas Castle and other venues within our portfolio.

Role Responsibility

Successfully managing an array of events including dinners, weddings, product launches and private parties to the high standard our clients expect while creating a rewarding and inspiring working environment for the existing team. You will be responsible for the continuation of staff training and development, personally developing the existing team to support in the wider business and developing a casual events team training structure in line with current company policies. You will also be involved in commanding financial responsibility for the account, ensuring that sales are maximised, variable costs controlled and budgeted targets met on a weekly basis.

The Ideal Candidate

Your past working experience and educational background will provide a close fit with Sodexo Prestige’s  commitment to quality, style and innovation whilst delivering an outstanding customer service exceeding the set expectations of our clientele.

You will have a proven track record within a luxury four or five star work environment of event catering or catering management and have good planning, time management, negotiation and organisational skills

You will be an excellent team player, able to communicate at all levels and commit to sharing your knowledge and skills within the business

Full clean UK driver’s license and own form of transport essential

Due to nature of role, evening and weekend work will be required
