Job Introduction

Norfolk & Suffolk CRC are currently recruiting for a Permanent Deputy Director based within either Norfolk or Suffolk.

As a Deputy Director you will develop and maintain key strategic partnerships locally and ensure  operational performance in the locality. You will be a leader and will assist the organisation to move towards greater quality service delivery

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Leadership and management experience
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the environment in which NSCRC operates, taking account of NPS, Courts, Prisons, PCC etc
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of complex public protection arena
  • Sufficiently wide range of offender management knowledge to inspire confidence and exert influence within partnerships
  • Financial management experience, including resource management and proven ability to achieve efficiencies
  • Proven ability to develop mature, productive relationships with internal and external service providers, key stakeholders and partners
  • Effective communicator and presenter, including ability to chair meetings
  • Strategic thinking, understanding policy and legal context, to make meaningful decisions in complex situations
  • Highly motivated and resilient
  • Ability to manage Service Level Agreements/Local Contracts within governance and performance/QA frameworks

Desirable

  • Management  qualification
  • Experience of criminal justice sector
  • Senior management experience in a similar service related role

Package Description

Starting Salary: SCCOG Band A £42,859

If selected to attend for interview they will be held on Monday 14th May 2018 in Ipswich and you will be asked to give a presentation details of which will be provided at a later date.

About the Company

The role of Norfolk & Suffolk CRC is to rehabilitate service users, reduce reoffending and protect the public and we are one of six CRCs operated by Sodexo Justice Services in the UK.  We work with offenders both in the community and in custody to deliver the sentence of the court, to rehabilitate them and to provide a range of programmes and interventions to turn their lives around.  We deliver effective offender management and rehabilitation services to low and medium risk offenders and our highly skilled staff work in a range of disciplines to make a real difference.  Our aim is to create a better future for the people we work  with - offenders, victims and their families and local communities.  We are proud to have strong relationships with other criminal justice agencies, local authorities, health trusts, employment and training providers, and work with contracted partners to enhance delivery to our service users.
