Contract Director (Catering, Retail, Hospitality)

Job Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contract Director or Senior Operator of a large multi-site contract, to oversee a large University estate within Central London. This is an exceptional role and one which will allow you to give full strategic direction to the delivery of catering, retail and hospitality services and build long term client relationships.

This is a high profile contract and will therefore provide the opportunity to showcase your senior leadership skills and develop within a growing business.

Role Responsibility

  • Effective management of the UCL contract, providing strategic leadership, team engagement, service offer consultation and business development.
  • Oversee a workforce of c.100 plus 10 direct reports
  • Fostering long term profitable relationships with the client, driving the current business and developing future opportunities
  • Develop business strategy in line with current and emerging client needs.
  • Provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values
  • Become a recognised leader within the business and respected specialist in specific market sectors and by specific clients
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement of people, systems and processes.
  • Support the marketing team in identifying opportunities with other clients to maximise profit and growth.
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Track record of success in a similar role in a large single site or multi-site role , overseeing the delivery of catering, retail and hospitality services
  • Engaging leader with a passionate for development and succession
  • Significant senior management experience in contract catering, a University or equivalent
  • Track record of success in a similar senior operations role
  • Proven experience of developing profitable relationships
  • Strong communication, high influencing and negotiation skills
  • Full P&L performance management
  • Experience working in a standards/compliance  environment
  • It is desirable that the individual has membership of relevant professional body
