Conference & Events Operations Manager

Job Introduction

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Conference & Events Manager to lead the operation for a high profile football stadium. This is a busy role that requires an enthusiastic, organised and people focussed individual to manage the day-to-day food and event operations.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage the site specific Conference & Banqueting operational services and teams
  • Focus on liquor sales and cellar operation driving liquor revenues and controlling stock to achieve gross profit percentage in line with budget
  • Manage the department diary, including the logistics and delivery of up to 15 events per day
  • Build, develop and motivate a team of 8 permanent team members including and two Assistant Managers.
  • Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation
  • Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Operational knowledge, skills and experience across both hospitality, banqueting and conferencing catering
  • Management of profit and loss accounts and acting on their results
  • Management and development of a large and diverse team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly organised and enthusiastic for delivering service
  • Resilience to manage multiple tasks and prioritise importance.
