Commercial Financial Controller

Job Introduction

Sodexo are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Financial Controller. This position is London-based (Holborn) but with the client’s main site in Brentford and other sites in Europe this position does require intensive travelling. The Commercial Controller will be a key member of the account team who, with responsibility to the Global FD will accommodate changes & contract expansion of our client’s global account. You need to be a qualified accountant; ideally from an international and multicultural environment. The role is to support and be a business partner to operations, so significant commercial exposure is essential – gravitas and experience to challenge; strong stakeholder management skills and demonstrable experience of adding value in previous roles. Role Responsibility

• Support the mobilisation of UK – GMS manufacturing sites, Belgium Vaccines including control of CPI/KPI performance and margin delivery
• Work with the country teams and the Global FD to ensure Sodexo maximises all potential commercial opportunities
• Work closely with the Global FD and the GSK WREF/GMS and Vaccines stakeholders on building the partnership approach to the commercial and financial aspects of the contract
• Implement robust mobilisation processes including due diligence for sites in Phase 2
• Work with the countries and the Global FD to ensure the identification and management of risks and opportunities
• Develop management reporting and contract controls for: Actual revenues, profit, and cash, Operational performance metrics, including early warning of issues and corrective action plans. Monthly reporting, forecasts, budgets and plans
• Deploying with GSK and Sodexo (corporate/regions/countries/sites) global financial processes in line with the Master Services Agreement (MSA)
• The role includes the supervision of IT projects for the GSK account, supported by Global GSK FD
• Manage relationships with GSK stakeholders and attending client meetings as required (site/regional  reviews)

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

• Educated to degree or equivalent standard with a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACAACCA)
• Experience of liaising and dealing with senior clients to oversee all regulatory and compliance issues with respect to the contract
• Has demonstrable experience in supporting the business/countries to pull together business cases for all new organic business opportunities and ensuring all commercials meet the necessary investment hurdle rates
• Proven track record ideally in an international and multicultural environment.
• Outstanding track record in negotiating and influencing decision making and improving financial performance with positive profit impact
• Experience of financial modelling
• Process orientated with experience of implementing business processes
• Outstanding communication skills and proven ability to work in a collaboratively way
• Good presentation skills and the ability to interact positively with all levels of the organisation

• Second European language

• Previous financial experience in an international and multicultural environment
