Job Introduction

Role Responsibility

  • To assist in implementing and maintaining the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals and breaks at the required time, being provided to the standard of the food service offer(s) and laid down in the Service Level Agreement and to the Client's, Customer's and Sodexo’s satisfaction.
  • To ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers’ special dietary requirements: for example, nut, dairy or wheat allergies.
  • To assist in implementing and maintaining the service for all Hospitality related activities, production service, clear down
  • To report and, where possible, take action for any incidents of accident, fire, loss, theft, damage, unfit food, or any other irregularities
  • To attend meetings and training courses as required.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria, with particular regard to hygiene
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to verbally communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Literate and numerate

Desirable

  • 5706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification, or equivalent

Package Description

You will be working for the prestigious Imperial Private Patients which cover 3 hospitals across London which are Charing Cross , Hammersmith Hospital , and The Lindo wing.

You will mainly be based at Charing Cross Hospitals Thames View Ward on the 15th Floor where we have a 5 star al a cart menu which is all fresh cooked on the day so you will require some cooking and baking skills.

Recipes and allergens will all be supplied on a seasonal basis and you will be mainly focusing on the preparation and service of the food working along side the hostesses to ensure the presentation of the food is of the highest standard.

We have a diverse clientele from all parts of the globe and mainly deal with Embassy patients from the middle east so a knowledge of different cultural foods will be positive factor to the correct candidate.

Your role will also include placing weekly orders for food items and the weekly stock take. You will also work closely with the head chef in the daily running of the kitchen and ensuring the service and the kitchen staff are all giving their best and making sure the customer service from a catering perspective is a priority which is expected in Private Patients.
