Role Responsibility

As a Chef de Partie you will be responsible for:

 

  • Preparation and cooking of food
  • Ensuring the kitchen areas are clean and tidy
  • Health and safety regulations, ensuring they are followed at all times
  • Delivering a world class customer experience to our customers and staff
  • Assisting in all areas of the kitchen for breakfast, lunch and hospitality
  • Assisting the Head Chef or Chef Manager with paperwork including stock ordering
  • Menu planning
  • Menu costings

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

 

  • Excellent craft skills
  • Previous chef experience and good communication skills
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate (advantageous but not essential)
  • Basic Health and Safety certificate (advantageous but not essential)
  • Good customer service skills

Package Description

A full time vacancy has arisen for a Chef de Partie at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, Heathrow airport and employment will be subject to the candidate obtaining an airside ID pass, therefore a full five year working history must be provided in order to obtain the necessary references.  In addition, the successful completion of an online security training course and a basic criminal record check will be required.

As Chef de Partie you will be responsible for all dishes prepared in your section and have a sound knowledge of culinary functions in general.  We are looking for an organised individual who works well in a continually high-pressured environment. An ability to manage other team members within your section is required.  You will also need to reliably carry out orders from the Sous Chef and Head Chef.  A Chef de Partie’s primary role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in the kitchen. Duties associated with this role include; directing chefs in their section in preparing, cooking, and presenting culinary dishes, enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen and trouble-shooting any problems that may arise.
