Job Introduction

Sodexo are currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician to be based on client site in Surrey. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who really wants to utilise their skills and develop their career at Sodexo.

You will work with Project Engineers and Sodexo service staff to document and maintain drawings to a good standard for the site facilities including; building fabric layouts, laboratories, utilities, equipment and grounds.

Role Responsibility

Ensure that Project Engineers provide the correct documentation and confirm change control procedures have been followed before amendments are made to drawings.
Producing electronic versions of the technical drawings using AutoCAD.
Working with the Engineering team to discuss and develop designs.
Changing and amending designs in-line with client, designer or engineers specifications and budgets.
Performs quality control and quality assurance on department-specific CAD Data. Compares information on survey drawings and checks for accuracy.
Survey and measure various systems or structures and transfer information to drawing.
Preparing or modifying electrical, mechanical and building layout drawings existing and uploading to an Electronic Drawing Management and approval IT System.

The Ideal Candidate

Experienced using AutoCAD
Understanding on M&E engineering processes
Experience within a similar role.
Excellent client relationship management skills.
Practical and demonstrated use of Microsoft office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Demonstration of practical administration and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience within a multi-disciplined Maintenance Environment.
A sound knowledge and awareness of engineering systems.
