Administrator (HSEQ)

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting an Administrator to sit within the HSEQ team within Salford. You will coordinate and process HSEQ related information (e.g. accidents reports, HSEQ audits, environmental incidents, food safety incidents / complaints). You will also maintain our company database and support the HSEQ teams & operators with general HSEQ related enquiries.  

This role would suit a confident administrator with excellent IT skills (particularly Excel) ideally from a H&S background however we welcome applications from all backgrounds.

Role Responsibility

  • Maintain and verify the UK and Ireland HSE Audit “workbook”, both pre and post audit activities. This includes keeping the audit work-book aligned with the business hierarchy and adjusting it following audit completion date, audit results, and other “reactive” parameters (e.g. accidents received)
  • Administer accident and incident reports (including food incidents, foreign materials, and any other HSE related incidents as reported).  
  • Distribute the higher-severity incidents to the Safegard team members for further investigation and log appropriate close-out date.
  • Where not covered above, support the Safegard administration and wider Safegard team to distribute reports that are not accidents / incidents or audits, across the organisation as required.
  • Ensure departmental recording systems for all reports processed are followed for retrieval and traceability.
  • Make orders of stationery, book travel, accommodation and provide other reasonable support for the Safegard team, particularly those based “in the field”.
  • Respond to email requests for support, telephone calls, and other incoming communications in a professional and timely manner.
 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Fully IT literate and familiar with the Microsoft Office suite including (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal – Recognised qualifications in English and Mathematics.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and be able to organise daily work priorities
  • Able to respond to “urgent” requests for information

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the Health, Safety and Environmental Management disciplines
  • Ability to plan work up to 1 month in advance
